The refund policy of the spirit airlines
The cancellation fee is divided into 3 segments depending on the types of tickets purchased:
Spirit cancellation fees for standard tickets-
No cancellation fee if you cancel your ticket on the same day of reservation. $90 will be applied if cancellation is done via online mode. Spirit Airlines occasionally offers travel points as a refund value, and you can use those points in the future only to book flights on Spirit Airlines. Offline cancellations will incur a $100 fee.
The cancellation fee for the flight flex ticket-
A cancellation fee is applied after the risk-free period for flight flex tickets. There is no difference in cancellation of the standard ticket and flight flex ticket except that no changes fees will be applied on the flight flex ticket.
The cancellation fee for the Award ticket is $110 outside of the risk-free period. After cancellation of the award ticket, the ticket value will be transferred to the travel points for further use.
Spirit Airlines reservation credit
When someone cancels their booking in Spirit Airlines after the risk-free period or earlier too, airlines provide a credit voucher against the booking amount of the existing fare. This voucher will be received as a six-digit code via registered email. The reservation credits can only be redeemed online at spirit.com or over the phone, not on the mobile app. It’s important to note that these points can only be used while booking with Spirit Airlines.
How to use reservation credit?
To use reservation credits follow these steps-
At the checkout page–
Select Redeem A Voucher from the menu, fill the box with the confirmation code, select “GO”, then enter the accurate amount and press the apply button. Confirmation regarding your booking will be sent to the registered email. The remaining balance in the registered credit will be saved for future travel.
